Nick Haycock BSc MBA MRICS
Nick Haycock is a chartered surveyor and has an MBA awarded by Warwick Business School.
During his early career as a Surveyor, he worked for a number of social housing providers (such as Birmingham City Council, Cheltenham Borough Council and Sanctuary Housing). He also worked for Blue-Chip organisations such as Bass and HSBC Bank.
In 1994, Nick was recruited by The AA to set up the original AA Home Assistance business. He became the MD of the business when it transferred into the ownership of Aon in 1998 and then grew the business both organically and via acquisitions until 2004.
Nick was appointed to the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Working Partnership Group, to help create a new qualification for maintenance operatives in the industry. This was launched at NVQ Level 2 for maintenance operatives.
In 2004, Nick led the MBO out of Aon, subsequently selling the business to HomeServe a few years later. He was responsible for transitioning the business out of Aon into HomeServe.
When the transition was completed, Nick left HomeServe and returned to the insurance sector holding down various senior positions at Willis Towers Watson and the Towergate Partnership.
In 2013 Nick identified an opportunity to acquire the business back from HomeServe and take it into private ownership. He negotiated the purchase, acquired funding and put the present management team together when the business was acquired. Since then Nick has led the business through significant growth over the last five years and is principal shareholder. Nick is also an FCA Approved Person within npa24:7.
